Following the Lead: Transdev Celebrates Another Year of Women’s History Month

At Transdev, we take pride in celebrating the incredible women who help drive the transportation industry forward. This Women’s History Month, we recognize and honor the invaluable contributions of our female leaders across all levels of our organization. From operations to administration, safety to transit management, women at Transdev continue to shape the future of mobility with their leadership, expertise, and dedication.
Our purpose at Transdev is to empower the freedom to move, and our women leaders play an essential role in fulfilling that mission. By bringing many different perspectives and innovative solutions to the table, they help us create safer, more efficient, and more inclusive transportation services for the communities we serve.

One of the industry’s foremost female leaders, Transdev U.S. CEO Laura Hendricks, recently shared her thoughts in Mass Transit on the importance of embracing multiple perspectives in transportation. She emphasized how the variation of ideas and insights from our female leaders strengthens our company and enriches the entire industry.
”As we celebrate Women’s History Month, it is clear that the contributions of women in transit are not just shaping the future of this industry—they are defining it.

We also reached out to a few of our esteemed women leaders for their thoughts on their careers, the importance of representation in the industry, and the advice they have for the next generation of women in transportation.
”Find the balance between confidence and humility. Be confident in your abilities but also be open to receiving feedback. You can always learn something new.
Joanna CornellVice President of Safety & Security
”Don’t be afraid to ask questions because it can lead to improvement. By asking questions, you can come up with improvements to policies and procedures as well as more efficient ways of doing things. Also, try to keep your meetings to 30 minutes.
Kristina StruckManager of Administration
”Be confident in who you are, what you’re capable of, and what you’ve accomplished. Take a seat at the table and don’t defer because you create your opportunities.
