Transdev / IntelliRide Recognized for Partnership with AARP

The Transdev/IntelliRide team’s coronavirus-related efforts and partnership with the United Way in the Pittsburgh area recently received recognition from AARP.

AARP Livable* just featured about a dozen age-friendly, community-based COVID-19 responses and among the work highlighted was IntelliRide’s efforts.

Here’s an excerpt from the article which has Laura Poskin, Director, United for Seniors & Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, discussing the partnership with IntelliRide (ACCESS Pittsburgh). The full article can be accessed here.

“United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania is partnering with our local paratransit service, ACCESS, to deliver thousands of meals and truckloads of supplies, such as personal protective equipment. Although ACCESS still offers rides to essential appointments, like dialysis, they are using their fleet of vehicles, operators, technology and expertise to create routes that move food and supplies — rather than people — as we all stay home.”
