Transdev Celebrates Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Throughout May, Transdev proudly celebrated Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, recognizing the many contributions of our AANHPI employees across the company. We are committed to fostering a workplace where everyone’s experiences and talents are respected and where every employee can thrive and grow.

As part of this celebration, we highlighted the inspiring story of Hale Kim, Operations Manager for our Rutgers University shuttle operations. Kim’s journey is a reflection of the perseverance and dedication that many of our AANHPI colleagues bring to Transdev.
Kim’s story begins with his parents’ immigration to the U.S. from South Korea over 55 years ago. Their hard work and sacrifices instilled in him a deep respect for opportunity and a belief in the power of persistence. Kim’s own path includes service in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force Reserve, experiences that shaped his leadership style and commitment to excellence.

After more than a decade in IT, Kim joined Transdev as an operator and steadily advanced to his current role, where he oversees a dedicated team delivering shuttle service for Rutgers University. His journey is a testament to how determination, adaptability, and a willingness to help others can shape both careers and communities.

As we conclude AANHPI Heritage Month, we are proud to honor Hale Kim and all our AANHPI employees. Their stories remind us of the hard work, character, and contributions that move Transdev forward every day.
