Operated by Transdev, WeRIDE Microtransit Service Receives Positive Reviews as it Celebrates its 1-Year Anniversary

Data from a Maricopa Association of Governments 2021 study looked at current transit services, population, employment conditions and projected future growth of the Avondale, AZ and Goodyear, AZ areas and found that a gap in mobility options existed.
The WeRIDE Microtransit solution provided an on-demand Microtransit service that met the needs of existing fixed route service customers in Avondale, AZ, helped improve service to low density areas and offered a mobility option for riders in Goodyear, AZ. Since its inception, the service has taken off and continues to grow.
The service in Avondale, Arizona was also recognized as a 2023 Top 50 Smart City Award recipient earlier this year.
