Transdev Welcomes Barbara Van Riper to Corporate and NICE Legal Team
Transdev is pleased to announce that Barbara Van Riper has joined their legal team as Associate General Counsel for Corporate and Nassau Inter-County Express.
Barbara brings more than 20 years of varied legal experience to Transdev. Having started her law career working at two different law firms in New York state, she then moved to the Nassau County Attorney’s Office where she worked for 10 years. At first, she had the role of Deputy County Attorney and then was the Bureau Chief for Labor & Employment, where she supervised attorneys and represented Nassau County in Federal and state courts, administrative proceedings, arbitrations and Federal and state investigations. Most recently, she was the sole in-house associate attorney at Nassau Health Care Corporation.
“Barbara has in-depth of experience in everything from employment regulations and labor relations to claim resolution, arbitrations and policy development,” explained Randall Lewis, General Counsel and Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer. “Her expertise, coupled with her knowledge of New York state regulations and her insights of Nassau County, will prove to be an asset to both Transdev overall and to our New York operations specifically,” added Jack Khzouz, CEO for NICE Bus / Transdev NY Regional VP Operations. “We are fortunate to have her join our team.”
