Transdev Extends Transit Management Partnership with Beaumont Municipal Transit
Transdev is pleased to announce the renewal of its transit management contract with the City of Beaumont, Texas, for Beaumont Municipal Transit (BMT). The renewed agreement allows Transdev to continue overseeing the city’s BMT’s Zip fixed-route and paratransit services, which together operate 25 vehicles and employ 50 team members through a local subsidiary.
The contract carries a three-year base term with two optional one-year extensions, providing a framework for continued stability and reliable service for Beaumont’s public transportation system.
At the heart of BMT Zip’s management is General Manager Claudia San Miguel, who will remain in her leadership role under the new contract. A Beaumont resident and active community member, San Miguel manages all aspects of BMT Zip’s daily operations, supported by Transdev’s regional and corporate transit experts.

Through Transdev’s Customer Care Program, the City of Beaumont will continue receiving structured, data-driven support – including up to 80 hours of value-added services annually – to assist with planning, operations, safety, and employee development.
With this renewed contract, Transdev reaffirms its commitment to supporting the City of Beaumont in delivering a reliable, accessible, and community-centered transit service that keeps residents connected across the city.
