A Career Built on Impact
When Allen thinks about being influential, she thinks about impact – creating the same kind of positive influence her mentors had on her.
“Knowledge is power,” she says, and she strives to share that power by guiding others, fostering growth, and leading by example.
Allen began her transportation career in 2001 as a temporary employee right after high school. By age 21, she was hired full-time and quickly gained experience across multiple roles: front desk, trip editing, scheduling, and eventually operations. Over the years, she has worked in both paratransit and fixed-route services, but paratransit holds a special place in her heart.
“It’s more personable – you know your customers by name. It’s rewarding to provide independence for our passengers,” explains Allen.
Thriving in Operations
Allen loves the versatility and fast-paced nature of operations.
“There’s a lot of thinking outside the box,” she says. “I love the craziness and chaos.”
Her leadership style reflects that adaptability: she dives into the weeds with her team, never asking them to do something she wouldn’t do herself. Open dialogue and continuous learning are cornerstones of her approach.
Currently, Allen is leading a major transition between scheduling software providers, embracing new technology and big projects with enthusiasm.
“I love learning new tech,” she shares, underscoring her commitment to innovation.

With over 11 years in operations and seven years on and off with Transdev, Allen remains focused on what matters most: delivering safe, comfortable, and timely service. She emphasizes quality customer experiences and continuous improvement through feedback.
“Getting our customers where they need to go is the most important aspect,” she concludes.
