Cobb County and Transdev: Driving Service Beyond Transit

When Transdev partnered with Cobb County, Georgia, to operate and maintain Cobb Linc, the mission was clear: deliver safe, reliable transportation while building meaningful connections with the community. Under the leadership of Transdev General Manager Ayana Pope and Transdev Customer Service Manager Antroinette Grant, that vision has transformed into something extraordinary.

A Contract Rooted in Care

Transdev’s Cobb County team recognizes CobbLinc isn’t just about buses and routes – it’s about people. With fixed-route and paratransit services, the team ensures mobility for all, bridging gaps for communities that rely on public transit. But what truly sets this operation apart is its commitment to community engagement.

Season of Service: Making an Impact

From the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk to volunteering at Sweetwater Mission Food Bank, the Transdev Cobb County team has shown that service extends beyond the transit system. They’ve participated in Career Day at Hickory Hills Elementary School, inspiring the next generation, and bringing joy to seniors at Azalea Gardens Senior Center. These efforts aren’t just events – they’re lifelines for the people they serve.

Leadership That Listens

Ayana Pope has championed a culture of listening – both to riders and employees. By hosting a Meet the Managers event at the Mariette Transit Center, the team ensures that community voices are heard. Antroinette Grant, with over 30 years in transportation and deep paratransit expertise, brings unmatched empathy and experience. Her dedication is fueled by family values, reminding everyone that service starts with the heart.

Safety and Team Spirit

Internally, initiatives like their Safety Mob Reward System and auctions funded by safety dollars keep employees motivated and engaged. This focus on safety and collaboration inspires buy-in, creating a workplace where everyone feels valued.

Looking Ahead

The Transdev Cobb County team will continue to build momentum with plans including new partnerships, increased engagement with food banks, and additional visits to senior centers. For CobbLinc and Transdev, community service isn’t a checkbox—it’s a purpose.
