Transdev Team at Philadelphia International Airport Recognized for Outstanding Customer Service

Transdev is proud to celebrate our team at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), who were recently honored by the Guest Experience (GX) Stakeholder Council for their outstanding customer service. This recognition is part of the airport-wide PHL WORKS initiative, which sets the standard for creating meaningful guest interactions that make every traveler feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated.

Every day, our shuttle operators safely and reliably transport more than 11,000 passengers between parking lots, terminals, and Cargo City. To recognize this accomplishment, the GX Stakeholder Council decorated Transdev’s entire fleet of 36 buses with balloons and surprised our employees with swag bags—celebrating the team’s dedication to service excellence.

This is such an honor for my team. We begin each day safety-driven to ensure our passengers have a safe ride and a positive experience. I am committed to continuous training and coaching with my team to exceed the expectations of our partners and passengers at PHL. We are stakeholders here with a common goal: safe, reliable, and great service."

The GX Stakeholder Council launched this recognition program to highlight business partners across PHL who consistently go above and beyond. Awardees are selected through site visits by customer service experts who evaluate twenty touch points across the airport—from shuttle bus operations to concessions and security.

PHL’s Guest Experience Director, Leah Douglas, congratulated the Transdev team, noting their role in setting “the bar remarkably high for offering excellent, customer-friendly service.”

For many Transdev employees, PHL WORKS is more than a set of standards; it’s a mindset. Operators like Liza Johnson and Jeannie Gooden have been recognized through PHL’s Employee Recognition Program for their commitment to kindness and professionalism. Transdev Trainer and Safety Supervisor Kirk Norwood also embraces the initiative, weaving its principles into new hire training and encouraging employees to be “one degree better, one degree nicer, one degree more patient” each day.

PHL WORKS to me represents community. All of us at PHL are striving to give the best customer service experience. Whether I’m transporting passengers, helping them find their vehicles, or just giving directions, it makes me feel good to help solve a passenger’s concern."

As one of more than 30 members of the GX Stakeholder Council, Transdev is proud to help PHL prepare for the global stage ahead—welcoming visitors for the FIFA World Cup, PGA Championship, March Madness, MLB All-Star Game, and the nation’s 250th birthday in 2026.

With the PHL WORKS initiative guiding the way, our team remains committed to ensuring that every guest enjoys a safe, seamless, and welcoming experience at Philadelphia International Airport.
