Transdev to Operate VTA’s ACCESS Paratransit Services in Santa Clara County
Transdev is proud to announce a new partnership with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) to operate its ACCESS Paratransit service and manage the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit Eligibility Certification process. The multi-year agreement underscores Transdev’s continued leadership in delivering accessible and inclusive mobility solutions across North America.
Transdev began to oversee the daily operations of VTA’s ACCESS Paratransit service on July 1, 2025, providing essential transportation for individuals with physical, visual, or cognitive disabilities who are unable to use fixed-route bus or light rail services. As a shared-ride service that mirrors the service area and hours of VTA’s broader transit network, ACCESS provides approximately 2,000 trips per day using a fleet of cutaways, minivans, sedans, and taxis, with accessible vehicles available.
In addition to providing safe and efficient transportation, Transdev will also manage the ADA Eligibility Certification process, ensuring that those who need the service are able to access it through a fair and effective assessment process.
”“We are honored to be entrusted by VTA to deliver such a vital service to the Santa Clara community. Our expertise in ADA paratransit eligibility, travel training, and mobility management allows us to support customers with the care and reliability they deserve.”
