Initially launched in Avondale in 2022 as a replacement for the city’s Zoom neighborhood circulator, WeRIDE has grown into a vital regional transit network. The service now extends beyond Avondale and Goodyear to include Surprise and, most recently, Peoria, which joined in January 2025. Covering 58 square miles, WeRIDE seamlessly connects riders to Valley Metro transit services, improving mobility options for residents across multiple cities.
Operating with a fleet of branded minivans and professionally trained drivers, WeRIDE offers a reliable transit option for seniors, students, and individuals without personal transportation. Avondale alone has recorded 125,000 passenger trips, highlighting the community’s strong embrace of this flexible and convenient service.
