Transdev Finalizes Agreement to Manage DART’s Mobility Management Services Starting October 2024

Transdev is excited to announce it has finalized an eight-year agreement with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to manage its Mobility Management Services (MMS), including ADA Paratransit, Microtransit, and Rider Assistance Programs (RAP). Transdev will oversee ADA Paratransit services in DART’s 13 member cities and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, and manage Microtransit operations in 34 currently available zones. They will also handle the Rider Assistance Program for eligible riders in specified Dallas area locations, using accessible ride-sharing vehicles.

The transition, effective October 1, 2024, aims for seamless improvements. Transdev will introduce a new fleet of vehicles and technology platforms, including a real-time schedule optimization system using Spare Labs to reduce wait and trip times, and a Command Console for better daily service management. Combining dedicated and non-dedicated transportation, Transdev will support DART in serving approximately 11,000 Paratransit and 886,000 Microtransit riders from 2023.

Bernard Jackson, Senior Vice President and COO of DART, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing DART’s vision to be the top mobility partner and the benefits of working with Transdev to enhance passenger experiences.

“We are eager to officially launch service for our Rider Assistance passengers, our ADA riders, as well as GoLink passengers with Transdev later this year,” said Bernard Jackson, Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). “At DART, our vision is to be your go-to mobility partner; working with Transdev brings us closer to this goal by creating seamless mobility experiences for our passengers.”

Laura Hendricks, CEO of Transdev U.S, added, “We are excited to partner with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and bring new technology and innovation to enhance the passenger experience. We are focused on a seamless transition in October where we hope to showcase our care and dedication to serving the community”
