Transdev Launches New Partnership with TCRTA Starting July 1, 2022
Transdev is excited to have launched its new partnership with the Tulare County Regional Transit Agency (TCRTA) on July 1, 2022.
The Tulare County Regional Transit Agency (TCRTA) is a joint powers agency formed by the County of Tulare and the Cities of Dinuba, Exeter, Farmersville, Lindsay, Porterville, Tulare, and Woodlake in south-central California. It is the largest single public transit agency in Tulare County. This consolidation of service took place in August 2020 with the goal to improve mobility, more efficient routes, increase quality of service and maximize technology in the County.
Transdev now operates all TCRTA’s paratransit and fixed route services, along with its call center. The company also is responsible for some of the contract’s maintenance, in addition to staffing, ticket sales and shelter cleaning.
“We are looking forward to providing our expertise and best practices to TCRTA in helping them build a seamless transit experience throughout the region, with improved customer service,” said Ibrahima Toure, Transdev’s regional vice president for their southwest region.
“Our goal is to provide innovative, reliable, accessible, and equitable mobility to all residents in our region,” said Richard Tree, TCRTA Executive Director. “We look forward to our new partnership with Transdev as we work together to achieve our goals and create a sustainable public transportation system.”
“Bringing all TCRTA’s services under one contract will ultimately benefit the employees and passengers – through our consistency in approach and procedures,” add Toure. “Passengers will now benefit from Transdev’s commitment to safe and reliable service and our focus on innovation and technology, which will help create a much-improved customer experience for all riders.”
