Transdev Announces New Partnership with TriMet Paratransit

Transdev is proud to announce its new partnership with TriMet in Portland, Oregon to operate its LIFT Paratransit services. Transdev assumed the operations of the paratransit system on October 1, 2021.

TriMet, which was formally known as the Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon, is the public agency that operates mass transit and paratransit for most of the Portland metropolitan area. LIFT is TriMet’s paratransit shared ride service.

As part of this contract, Transdev is operating TriMet’s fleet of 226 paratransit vehicles with more than 200 employees.

“We look forward to bringing the ‘Transdev difference’ to this new partnership,” said Ron Bushman, Transdev’s RVP for the Northwest Region. “We hold safety as our top priority and through the programs we leverage, like DriveCam and Mobileye, our drivers are given the tools to help them, and in turn our passengers and communities, have an even safer experience on the roads.”

“We believe the new technology options we are providing will make significant service quality improvement for customers,” continued Bushman. “We look forward to our partnership and providing safe, consistent and reliable service to our new passengers who rely on us to get them to where they need to go safely and on-time.”
