Transdev Rewarded with Management Contract Renewal in Raleigh

Transdev, the leading private sector provider of multi-modal transportation solutions, is pleased to announce it will continue managing the operations and maintenance of the 37- route GoRaleigh transit service in North Carolina under a transit management contract.

Transdev has managed the contract for 18 years since 1998. The service is a popular mobility option for commuters and students in the flourishing Greater Raleigh area that is home to North Carolina State University and four other colleges, three large hospitals, and three major shopping malls. GoRaleigh operates 28 local routes, in addition to 9 contracted routes, and boasts an annual ridership of 5.5 million with a fleet of 106 vehicles.

Under this management contract, Transdev will remain responsible for managing the daily transit operations of the system. In addition, the company will manage personnel, payroll, pension administration, annual National Transit Database reporting, North Carolina Department of Transportation reporting, fare security, maintenance, labor relations and performance and all transit compliance, as well as ongoing management of various capital projects. Transdev will also continue oversight and operation of the transit mall, GoRaleigh station.
