Fairfax Connector Maintenance Team Wins Big at Virginia State Roadeo
At the recent 2022 Virginia State Bus Roadeo, our Fairfax Connector Maintenance team claimed first place in the maintenance category!
The winning team members were Oscar Matamoros, Martin Lopez and Mario Llanos – all A technicians – proudly representing Transdev and our Fairfax Connector client.
In the maintenance portion of the competition, mechanics must discover and diagnose defects in multiple critical systems, including the operator’s instrument panel, HVAC system and brakes. Winning was no easy task. The team scored impressively high on all the APTA-based International Roadeo modules including:
- Written Test
- HVAC
- Vehicle Defects
- Air Brakes
- Cummins Engine
- Multiplex
- Vapor Doors
The team now goes on to represent the State of Virginia at the 2023 APTA International Bus Roadeo to be held in Minneapolis, MN in May 2023.
