Transdev Continues to Live Its Purpose During the Holiday Season
Community outreach and giving back to serve the common good is all part of Transdev’s Purpose and our employees’ commitment to their communities was on full display during this holiday season. Our locations gave back in a variety of ways including hosting Stuff-a-Bus events with our employees, our clients, and/or our communities. Our buses across the country were filled with critical items like food, warm clothes and toys to help ensure that our community members and their families in need would have what they needed to be able to celebrate the holiday season. In some cases, we also helped facilitate those ever-critical visits with Santa.
Here are just a few examples demonstrating how our Transdev employees were showing their CARE for their communities:
SolTrans in Vallejo, CA: Our Transdev team recently partnered with their client to deliver new toys to needy children through a local Vallejo Charitable organization called “Fighting Back Partnership”. The SolTrans team makes caring for their employees and their community a priority and Live our Purpose every day by serving the common good.
Corporate office in Lombard, IL: Our corporate office held its own version of a Stuff-a-Bus event. Employees participated in putting together toiletry packages for a local non-profit whose mission is to end homelessness in the area.
CityLink in Peoria, IL: Our CityLink client has been partnering with Kroger for the past 35 years to help eliminate hunger in Peoria, Illinois. Our local team, along with other area businesses, volunteered food, resources and/or their time to stuff multiple CityLink buses and vans with food donations to benefit the food pantry at the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service. This year’s Stuff-a-Bus efforts collected a record 24,942 pounds (12.47 tons) of food.
Dekalb, IL: Our Transdev team in DeKalb partnered with the City of DeKalb to make their annual holiday event called “Lights on Lincoln” another great success in 2022. The team decorated one of their buses with a holiday theme and provided free transportation to more than 50 families to see the downtown holiday lights and enjoy a visit with Santa.
Fairfax, VA: Our Fairfax team supported their annual holiday community event by donating toys to benefit Groveton Elementary school in Alexandria, Virginia. The event was launched years ago by three of our Fairfax bus operators and the tradition continues much to the appreciation of the principals, teachers and especially the students at Groveton Elementary.
