We recently announced a commitment with Tent Partnership for Refugees (Tent) – an organization whose mission is to mobilize the global business community to improve the lives and livelihoods of more than 36 million refugees. The initiative is part of our workforce development strategy - recruiting more people and talent into the transit industry - while being aligned with Transdev purpose of serving the common good.

Mass Transit Magazine recently featured an article by Susan Sweat, our Transit COO. The article appears within their Industry Insights section and is titled: Industry Insights: Innovating to Address Rising Passenger Expectations.

Our first annual Employee Appreciation Week was a huge success thanks to the amazing participation and incredible creativity that was on display across all our operations – from coast to coast and site to site. Check out the video we put together recognizing our Employee Appreciation Week celebrations. It’s a great example of how we are all Living Our Purpose at Transdev.

Climate Week NYC 2022 marks its 14th year as the biggest global climate event of its kind. The Transdev Group is a sponsor at this year’s event and our CEO Laura Hendricks is part of a panel discussion on Wednesday September 21. Since we can’t be in New York City to listen to Laura’s discussion live, we can register for the live stream. Registration deadline is Friday September 9.

Similar to many organizations across the U.S., Transdev has been affected by the recent labor shortage. By moving our workforce development efforts into an even higher gear, we have developed partnerships with various organizations to help expand our search for employees – specifically drivers and mechanics. Our new partners are helping us reach out to various international markets in search of potential employees who could match our needs. We are starting to see some success.

We are proud to announce the extension of our successful partnership with the City of Burlington operating Link Transit. We will continue to provide operations, maintenance and customer service for the Link Transit system, which includes operating both its fixed route and paratransit services.

Our Safety Manager in Baltimore, Brianna Jackson, attended her first COMTO meeting recently. She put together an incredibly creative TikTok video that described her experience, and it was too fun not to share (with her permission, of course).

We are always continuing to look for innovative solutions to address the current national labor shortage. In Phoenix, our team partnered with a technical institute whose focus is on providing skills to students that are complementary to what we are looking for in new employees – specifically mechanics. Congratulations to our Marketing & Communications team. They were recently recognized by APTA as recipients of four AdWheel Awards. The AdWheel awards go to APTA member systems and business members for outstanding marketing and communications efforts that contributed to strategic organizational goals.
