To serve passengers with care, stay aware, and plan ahead. Remember to check your driving schedule before the start of your shift and to be properly prepared for all passengers.
Plan Ahead
Passengers who use mobility devices need extra care and time to enter and exit the vehicle. Make sure your vehicle has all the required equipment needed to safely secure passengers using mobility devices. When you plan before you pick up a passenger, you save yourself unnecessary challenges.
Here are some helpful tips to help organize your day:
- Pre-Trip Planning– make sure all lifts, ramps, and securement systems are in proper working order.
- Review Route & Schedule– review the stops for all passengers, especially those using mobility devices, to allow extra travel time.
- Equipment & Accessibility– keep securement areas clean and be ready to help passengers in need of ramps and lifts.
Stay Aware
Keeping Safety First! requires you to always be aware. Pay attention to the needs of your passengers, in case they need your assistance. Having a positive attitude when listening to customers helps build a trusting relationship between you and your passengers. By paying attention to passenger needs, you create a safe and happy ride for everyone.
Serve With Care
The Transdev spirit of Care should be felt by those we serve. By approaching each passenger with patience, attention, and professionalism, you create a safe and respectful travel experience for everyone. This includes assisting with boarding and securement, communicating clearly, and anticipating additional travel time.
By planning ahead, remaining aware, and serving passengers with care, we empower communities with the freedom to move. Safety First!
