Diabetes Awareness Month: Know Your Risk for Diabetes & Move More

Safety Corner

November is American Diabetes Month®, and it’s a great time to check in on your health. At Transdev, we care about you and want to help you stay healthy and informed.

What You Should Know

Diabetes is a serious health issue that affects nearly half of all Americans. Many people don’t know they’re at risk. The good news? You can take steps to lower your risk.

How to Know Your Risk

You may be at higher risk if you:

  • Have a family history of diabetes
  • Are overweight or don’t get much exercise
  • Have high blood pressure or cholesterol
  • Are 45 or older
  • Had diabetes during pregnancy

You can take a quick online quiz from the American Diabetes Association® to learn your risk.

Moving Matters

Being active helps prevent and manage diabetes. Just 30 minutes of walking or movement a day can:

  • Lower your blood sugar
  • Help your heart
  • Boost your energy and mood

Show Your Support

Wear blue on World Diabetes Day on Friday, November 14 to show your support for those battling diabetes. Every small action helps build a healthier future. Together, we can make a difference.
