In addition to signing up for your benefits, open enrollment also is a great time for you to review and update the key information that you have entered in both the Transdev Benefits Portal and our ADP portal.

During Open Enrollment, between November 2 and November 18, 2022, is your only chance to update your benefits – don’t miss this chance. Unless you have a qualifying event during 2023, like a marriage, birth/adoption of a child or a divorce (as examples), the benefits you choose now will apply for all of next year (January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023).

Open enrollment is a great time to review your current benefits, analyze your existing expenses, look ahead to your potential 2023 medical expenses and evaluate your plan options. Check your mail at home for the latest information. It is open from November 2–18, 2022.

National Mentoring Day was launched to celebrate the benefits of mentoring and takes place on October 27th each year.  Check out the included video that celebrates and recognizes our Transdev mentors and mentees who have been participating in our pilot Mentor@Transdev program over the last year. Transdev has signed an agreement to acquire First Transit, Inc., creating an even stronger innovation-driven provider of sustainable mobility and public transportation services in the U.S. and Canada. The transaction is subject to the customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals in the U.S. and Canada. Until the closing of the deal, both companies will continue to operate independently.

One of our CARTA operators, Leon Smalls, did an amazing job as he talked about how great it is to drive a bus and how important his role is for the community in a video recently used by the Secretary of Transportation.

Last week’s APTA TRANSform 2022 Conference in Seattle proved to be a huge success for both APTA and for Transdev. Thanks to all who participated and helped Transdev make a positive impact.

We are excited to launch our new partnership with Grand Rapids’ Interurban Transit Partnership, also known as “The Rapid” starting on October 1, 2022. Transdev is now responsible for the operations and maintenance of The Rapid’s paratransit fleet. The systems for which we are responsible currently support approximately 200,000 trips per year and we will manage about 94 employees.

We recently announced a commitment with Tent Partnership for Refugees (Tent) – an organization whose mission is to mobilize the global business community to improve the lives and livelihoods of more than 36 million refugees. The initiative is part of our workforce development strategy - recruiting more people and talent into the transit industry - while being aligned with Transdev purpose of serving the common good.
