Safety Tip: Practice Active Looking Every Time You’re Behind the Wheel

Safety Corner

At Transdev, safety is always our top priority, and this week we want to remind our employees to always practice active looking. Whether you’re behind the wheel or walking as a pedestrian, being aware of your surroundings can make all the difference.

Active looking involves more than just a quick glance—it means being deliberate about checking your environment. Drivers should look left, right, and left again before moving, use mirrors frequently, and scan the road for potential hazards. Likewise, pedestrians and cyclists should stay alert, watch for vehicles, and make eye contact with drivers whenever possible.

By staying mindful of others and actively scanning the environment, we can all contribute to safer roads for everyone. Let’s make active looking a habit!
