Women Who Drive Us Forward: Geri Stacy, Cincinnati Streetcar Operator

Safety Corner

Geri Stacy has been a key member of the Transdev’s Cincinnati Streetcar team for 10 years and a pioneer in the city’s transit system. She was the first woman hired as a streetcar operator and the first to operate a revenue vehicle, helping to set the foundation for the system as its start.

Geri brings more than 40 years of transit experience, including three decades as a bus operator known for her professionalism, safety, and strong customer service.  When the streetcar began service in 2016, she carried that same dedication into her new role.

She is also a natural mentor. Geri takes pride in training new operators, especially young women. She shares her knowledge and helps them build confidence in their work. Her guidance has shaped many operators who follow in her footsteps.

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we honor Geri Stacy for her leadership, mentorship, and the path she continues to pave for other women in transit.
