In honor of Women’ s History Month, Transdev is recognizing the hard work and dedication of its maintenance team at the Cincinnati Streetcar location. The team includes about 20 women among its staff of 35 employees, showing how people from many backgrounds can succeed in a field that has traditionally had fewer women.
General Manager Sheri Allen, who became the first woman to lead the location in 2025, has played a key role in shaping its supportive and collaborative culture. Her leadership style embraces transparency, teamwork, and employee development. Drawing from her background as a mentor and coach, Sheri encourages everyone to learn, grow, and support one another. She credits her team’s success to focusing on peer-to-peer support that has helped to create a workplace where employees feel valued, motivated, and engaged.
Many team members began without prior maintenance or rail experience. Through training and hands-on practice, they have built skills in electrical work, computer diagnostics, and system-specific maintenance. Their progress shows their curiosity, dedication, and commitment to doing great work for the community.
Maintenance Supervisor Jamie Kerby is one example of this success. She was recognized previously as a Mobility Change Maker for excellent service. Her achievement echoes the high standards of professionalism that govern the entire team.
Transdev is excited to celebrate the people who keep our Cincinnati Streetcar location running every day. The team’s hard work shows what can happen when employees are supported and encouraged to grow.
