Safety is a priority whether onsite, in a vehicle or in an office setting. Creating a safe office space is essential to a productive work environment. Considering proper ergonomics, removing tripping hazards and keeping areas clean and clutter free can go a long way to establishing a safe workplace where people can thrive.

“Increased Following Distance” is our next Winter Preparedness sub-topic. There are only advantages to maintaining a safe following distance of 4 seconds or greater to the vehicle in front of you – especially is changing or hazardous winter driving conditions.

Our next sub-topic to support our Winter Preparedness Health & Safety theme focuses on the importance of watching your speed – specifically in changing winter weather conditions. Posted limits are designed to prevent specific risks that are more likely when you drive too fast, especially in hazardous weather conditions.

How to equip your Winter Driving Kit is our next “Winter Preparedness” sub-topic. Always be prepared for the unexpected in the winter and that includes keeping a winter care survival kit in your car.

Our first “Winter Preparedness” sub-topic focuses on Winter Driving Tips. Driving in adverse weather conditions like snow, sleet or ice demands additional focus and attention. Be aware of the road conditions, decrease your speed and increase your following distance are just a few tips to keep in mind as you head out on the snowy roads.

Our commitment to highlight different Health & Safety themes every couple of months continues. As the weather changes and the snow starts to fly across most of the country, we chose “Winter Preparedness” for our January/February campaign, as a reminder to be extra vigilant and careful on the roads, as well as to take care of ourselves.
