Our Movember, mustache-growing volunteers are definitely making some great progress for a good cause. Though their faces may be getting itchy, they are committed to persevere in support of our campaign to raise awareness for some key men health concerns, including prostate and testicular cancer and mental health issues.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, which extends from September 15 – October 15, we recognize just some of the contributions made by Hispanic and LatinX Americans to the transportation industry. In the accompanying video, we highlight the impact made to our industry by César Pelli, a world-renowned architect and by Sophia Sánchez-Maes, a clean energy pioneer at only 21 years old.

Thank you to our operations who organized a Stuff-a-Bus event over the last couple of months to help their communities in need during Back to School time. Community outreach and showing we care about the communities in which we operate is just part of how we do business. It’s an example of how we live our purpose and serve the common good.

Women's Equality Day is celebrated in the United States on August 26. The day commemorates the 1920 adoption of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which granted women the constitutional right to vote.

Since the wildfires broke out last week, our NEMT business (now known as Transdev’s Health Solutions team) has been doing all they can to help our clients, our Medicaid customers and the Hawaiian community we serve. They are truly living our purpose and serving the common good!

Our DEI commitment includes creating an environment where people from diverse backgrounds can communicate, work together and understand each other’s needs and perspectives. Throughout the second half of the year, we’d like to continue highlighting some of our employees who come from diverse backgrounds and/or who would like to share their thoughts on DEI or their DEI-related stories.

July 25 is National Hire a Veteran Day. Transdev is proud that many veterans have chosen our company for their second career. Many of the skills veterans acquired while in the military transfer nicely to our business – whether it’s a direct skills transfer (i.e. maintenance etc.) or the softer skills around leadership, teamwork, good communication, and pride in the work done – they all have a place at Transdev.
