Keeping Safety First! is our number one priority. In recognition of World Safety Day, we take a moment to reflect on the ways practicing safety every day helps empower our communities with the freedom to move.
Our Golden Safety Rules guide our safety behaviors to help keep our passengers, teams, and communities safe by:
- Operational Responsibility: We make sure that coworkers, passengers, and communities work, live, and travel safely every day, from the offices to the streets.
- Health & Wellbeing: We come to work well-rested and take care of our physical, mental, and social well-being.
- Zero Alcohol & Drugs: We never come to work under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or substances.
- Focus & Awareness: We are completely focused on the task in front of us while staying alert to our surroundings.
- Speaking Up: We speak up when we see any risky situation or behavior.
When Safety Leads the Way
Our people show every day how safety guides our work and protects our communities. A powerful example came on January 7, 2025, when several wildfires broke out across the Los Angeles, CA area.
Our Pasadena team of operators immediately put their Safety First! training into action. Despite dangerous conditions like fast-moving flames, heavy smoke, and collapsing buildings, our operators safely evacuated vulnerable residents in the Pasadena and Eaton communities. Their courage and quick thinking came from the strong Safety First! foundation they practice every day.

As we observe World Safety Day, we reaffirm our commitment to keeping Safety First! and applying our Golden Safety Rules to every action we take. Safety First!
