Safety Tip: Recognize the February Blues

Safety Corner

As February settles in, many employees may start to feel the effects of the February Blues- a mix of post-holiday fatigue, winter weather, and lingering financial strain.  If you are experiencing low energy, lack of motivation, or increased stress, you are not alone.

Here are a few ways to help manage the February Blues:

  • Get Moving: physical activity, even a short walk, can boost your mood.
  • Seek Sunlight: natural light helps improve mental well-being. Try to step outside during daylight hours.
  • Stay Connected: reach out to friends, family, or colleagues for support.
  • Practice Self-Care: prioritize sleep, eat nourishing meals, and take breaks when needed.

Help is Available

If you are feeling overwhelmed or just need someone to talk to, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is here to help-and it is free and confidential.  Call the EAP at (877-747-1200) for support.

Remember, taking care of your mental well-being is just as important as your physical health.
