Transdev is proud to announce Kelly Gordon, General Manager for Palm Tran Connection in West Palm Beach, FL, has been recognized as one of Mass Transit magazine’s 2025 40 Under 40!
While Kelly describes the start of his career as something he “fell into,” he is grateful to be recognized.
“It’s an honor,” he explained. “I never thought I would be where I’d be. So, it’s really an honor to go this route.”
Kelly’s transit career began in 2014 as a dispatcher. He then became a scheduler before being promoted to operations manager, and assistant general manager. Since 2022, Kelly has served as a General Manager for Palm Tran Connection. He has helped make Transdev a great place to work at his location by building strong relationships with other leaders, organizations, and vendors.
His ability to overcome challenges has made him a resource for leaders, while also building strong relationships with his frontline employees.
Service Leadership
Kelly also cares a lot about the community his location serves. He credits his love for helping others to his childhood, where he and his mom enjoyed volunteering for activities and events. This helped shape Kelly’s leadership and communication skills while growing his passion for helping others.
Mentorship is also important to Kelly. He thinks it is important to choose the right mentor who fits your goals and personality, while also being willing to “put in the work.” When asked for advice for others who want to grow at Transdev, Kelly says it is helpful to “make sure you know the basics of what you’re doing first.”
