Black History Month is celebrated every February to recognize the achievements and contributions of African American change-makers. We’d like to acknowledge a few such innovators who have made an impact on transportation – both directly and indirectly - in the included video.
Transdev operates under the principles that everyone has the right to equal access on public transit—not just today, not just during Black History Month, but always. Looking forward to hearing how our operations recognized Transit Equity Day and Rosa Parks' birthday across the country.
In honor of Black History Month in February, we will be recognizing and celebrating key contributions made to the transportation industry by African Americans both internally and externally throughout the month. Thank you to our operations who organized Stuff-a-Bus events over the holidays. In light of the pandemic and how so many people have been affected, community outreach and showing we care about the communities in which we operate has been more important than ever
MLK Day is observed each year on the third Monday in January, in honor of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s life and legacy. It’s sometimes referred to as “a day on, not a day off.”

As we embark on 2021, we are so proud to recognize that 2020 marked the 50-year anniversary of our partnership with the City of Phoenix to provide safe, reliable and efficient transportation to the City’s residents. How exciting for us to be part of one of the country’s longest-running partnerships of the public and private sectors focused on bus operations, service quality and maintenance.
We are proud to serve communities with disabilities by providing safe, reliable and comfortable transportation on every passenger trip.
