Before driving under an overpass, tree limb, sign, garage door, or other overhead object, make sure your vehicle has enough clearance.
Use your vehicle’s overhead clearance reference point to identify clearance concerns at least 30 feet ahead. This gives you time to slow down, stop, or choose a different route if needed.
Remember:
- Look ahead and identify overhead hazards early.
- Use your reference point to determine if it’s safe to proceed.
- Avoid last-second braking or sudden maneuvers.
- When in doubt, make the safe choice: No-Go.
Aim High to determine your vehicle’s clearance early on and make an informed decision to Go or No-Go. Safety First!
