As we have previously discussed, Transdev’s DEI commitment includes creating an environment where people from diverse backgrounds can communicate, work together and understand each other’s needs and perspectives. This perspective translates into how we live our purpose every day and through how we care for each other, how we share our knowledge and how we dare to think differently.
Palash Saini, one of our drivers for our WeRide Microtransit business in Arizona, recently shared some of his thoughts on Transdev’s commitment to DEI during April’s National Arab American Heritage Month.
“I value the diversity of the people that we transport from place to place,” Palash shared. “The world of logistics is made up of collections of communities across modes and geographies. Corporate cultures, professional bodies and local associations create the foundations that connect people from shippers, carriers and third-party logistics providers.” He continued by adding, [the work I do and the people we transport has] “made me realize my passion for transportation and logistics. I have also gained effective communication skills with the diverse population that we serve.”
He concludes by adding, “my career at Transdev has offered [me] an inclusive environment where everyone is empowered to share their perspectives, listen and respect others. This [even] helps me deal with difficult situations and/or difficult passengers at times.”
Thank you to Palash for sharing his perspective on the role DEI plays for him at Transdev and within the work he does. It is truly an example of how we are living our Transdev purpose every day and how we serve the common good.
DEI is a journey and we look forward to where it will take us.
