With almost a month under our belts, our expanding partnership with TriMet continues strong.
January 1 we added the management of TriMet’s (Portland, Oregon) Paratransit Eligibility Assessment & Travel Training Services to our portfolio.
The positive impact we are bringing to our existing TriMet contracts positioned us well to expand our partnership with them. Prior to this new contract, we had already been operating TriMet’s paratransit bus operations (launched October 2021) and its Operations Contact Center (started July 2022), which includes the reservations, scheduling, customer service, and dispatch functions of TriMet’s LIFT program (ADA paratransit).
As part of its new Paratransit Eligibility Assessment & Travel Training Services contract, our responsibilities include assessing the physical and/or cognitive abilities of new and existing LIFT applicants to use fixed route bus and MAX transit services, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
“We are excited to leverage our extensive experience with paratransit and the related ADA eligibility process through our Mobility Options business line to further support our TriMet client,” said Sean Powers, VP of Mobility Options. “We are proud of the relationship we have established with TriMet through providing safe, sustainable and reliable mobility solutions to our customers and look forward to bring even more value through this new contract.”
“Transdev has proven to be a valued and innovative partner in serving LIFT riders experiencing disability. Finding new and improved ways to foster independence; opening doors to the freedom and independence inherent in transportation, we know Transdev will help TriMet LIFT elevate to the next level in service,” said Eileen Collins, TriMet’s Director of Accessible Transportation Programs.
