It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our long-time Foothill Transit General Manager, Bill Jackson. Bill passed away this past weekend, with his wife Verdeen at his side. Bill will be greatly missed by so many of us at Transdev. We feel grateful and fortunate to have known him.

January was off to a great start for the IntelliRide team. On January 4th, they began providing NEMT (non-emergency medical transportation) services for Anthem’s Healthy Blue contract in Nebraska and the contract kick off was a huge success.
MLK Day is observed each year on the third Monday in January, in honor of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s life and legacy. It is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities or reflect on civil rights and racial equity issues. It’s sometimes referred to as “a day on, not a day off.”
Last week we entered into a new partnership with the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) to manage their ADA paratransit eligibility certification process.
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month. An unfortunate reality is that public transit is often used to recruit and transport victims. On Monday, January 11, many in our industry are wearing blue in an effort to raise awareness around this crime.
