Memorial Day weekend is upon us. A time when we remember and honor the brave heroes of our armed forces who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Recently, our San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) Paratransit operation was recently honored by the SFMTA Board of Directors. The Board recognized the employees of SF Paratransit for all the work they have been doing, especially over the past two years and announced they will receive the 2022 Innovative Practice Bronze Award from NACCHO this summer.

This “Remembering the Safety Basics” sub-topic highlights a phrase operators learn in training – rocking and rolling in your seat. By rocking and rolling in their seats (i.e., moving forward and side-to-side), any obstructed objects can come into view that may otherwise not have been noticed.

Our Denver Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) staff members wanted show how they live our purpose by serving the common good and showing how they care. They recently put together little gift bags for the homeless population within the community.
