Julie Peel Announced as Vice President of Safety and Security

Safety Corner

Julie Peel was recently named as Transdev U.S.’s vice president of safety and security – a role she has filled on an interim basis since April 2020.

Julie joined Transdev in August 2015, as Safety and Training Director in our paratransit contract with WMATA in greater Washington, D.C. From there, she was promoted in early 2018 to Regional Safety Director of our northeast region.

She has distinguished herself with many accomplishments in multiple domains of safety performance, including stronger root cause analysis; accident mitigation plans; and developing standardized protocols and processes. She is passionate about ensuring the quality of ongoing safety coaching and training. She has partnered with many locations and helped mobilize their teams to deepen their commitment to and personal accountability for safety.

Recently, Julie has been instrumental in creating and communicating policies and best practices to help our locations take effective action to protect employees and passengers from COVID-19. She is committed to ensuring we sustain our strategies and vigilance as we move forward with the virus in our midst.

Congratulations Julie.
