It’s time to “fall back” this weekend with the end of daylight savings on Sunday, November 3. Most of the United States, except Hawaii and Arizona, observe the daylight-saving time.
It’s important to recognize how time changes can impact fatigue. A few tips to manage a feeling of tiredness associated with time change include:
- Being consistent with your schedule, especially your sleep schedule.
- Get outside during daylight hours.
- Reduce use of electronics such as tablets, phones and other screens close to bedtime.
Remember to stay alert and aware of pedestrians as the time change means it will become darker earlier in the evening. Wear high visibility safety gear, use designated walkways and stay alert when walking in places like yards and depots.
