The ADA Celebrates 32 Years

Safety Corner

July 26, 2022 marks 32 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law by President George H.W. Bush.

The ADA gives civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities similar to those provided to individuals on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, age, and religion. It guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations, employment, transportation, state and local government services, and telecommunications. Today, 1 in 4 Americans with disabilities can participate in their communities and workplaces thanks to the ADA. (Source: adata.org)

We are proud to support our passengers with disabilities and offer them the freedom to move through safe and reliable transit solutions.
