Transdev and Wave Transit Launch New Partnership

Safety Corner

We are excited to have kicked off our new partnership with the Cape Fear Public Transportation Authority and Wave Transit this summer.

We are overseeing Wave Transit’s fixed route system, which includes 21 fixed route buses, 2 trolleys and 15 shuttles.

“We’re proud to add this contract to our portfolio. North Carolina is such a vibrant and booming state. Adding to our footprint in the area helps us contribute to the area’s growth by providing safe and efficient transportation to our customers,” said Justin Augustine, Northeast Regional Vice President. “We look forward to becoming an integral member of the local community.”

As part of our management contract, we are responsible for operations and maintenance oversight. “We have a great team in place and are confident in the value they bring to our client and to our passengers,” Justin added. “Both General Manager Harrison Neilly and Operations/Safety Manager Randolph Williams have decades worth of transit experience. Pairing them with expert, local talent, including the existing, maintenance leadership, who have in depth knowledge of the service, is a recipe for success.”

To recognize and thank our military veterans for their service and for choosing Transdev as their second career, we launched our Transdev Veterans Pin program last November. If you would like to participate, simply fill out our form to get your pin. Pins are distributed twice a year (November and May).
