Latino Heritage Month Spotlight on Artisha Ramirez, Road Supervisor, The Wolfline at NC State University

Safety Corner

For Artisha Ramirez, Latino Heritage Month is a time to celebrate her family’s journey and the diverse cultures that make up the Hispanic community. Her parents, whose heritage comes from Honduras and Belize, came to the United States seeking a better life, and their hard work and positive outlook continue to inspire her today.

Artisha has proudly served with Transdev since 2023 as a Road Supervisor while also supporting scheduling, dispatching, and team projects. She says her Hispanic heritage has shaped her leadership style by teaching her the value of hard work, positivity, and supporting others.

As someone with Honduran and Belizean roots, Artisha is passionate about celebrating the diversity within Hispanic communities and helping others understand that Hispanic and Latino culture spans many backgrounds, experiences, and identities. She believes every culture brings value and works to create a workplace where all team members feel included, respected, and supported.

When asked what advice she would give aspiring leaders, Artisha encourages others to be confident, work hard, and lead with the right intentions. “Don’t be afraid to step out and be yourself,” she says. “If your goal is to help others and make a difference, you’ll be successful as a leader.”

During Latino Heritage Month, Artisha encourages everyone to learn more about Hispanic cultures by exploring the food, music, art, and traditions that make them different and special.

“Be open to new experiences and learn something new,” she says. “You might discover something you really enjoy.”

Transdev is proud to honor leaders like Artisha in celebration of Latino Heritage Month!
