Every May, we celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. This month is a chance to recognize the rich cultures, long histories, and important contributions of AANHPI communities across the United States and here at Transdev. It is also a time to lift the voices and experiences of our AANHPI coworkers who help shape our company and the communities we empower with the freedom to move.
Shaping the Future Together
The AANHPI community includes more than 50 ethnic groups and over 100 languages from East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific Islands. This diversity brings many traditions, stories, and cultural identities that have impacted American life for hundreds of years.
Our AANHPI employees bring dedication, creativity, and unique perspectives that strengthen our shared Transdev Purpose by providing safe, reliable, and innovative mobility solutions that serve the common good. Their leadership and lived experiences help us better understand and support the communities that depend on us every day.
Ways to Celebrate
Throughout May, we invite our employees to learn, connect, and celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month in meaningful ways, like:
- Learning about the history of AANHPI Heritage Month and the leaders who helped open doors for future generations.
- Sharing cultural traditions, recipes, or personal stories that show the richness and diversity of AANHPI cultures.
- Visiting cultural events like film screenings, panel discussions, or storytelling sessions featuring AANHPI creators and leaders.
- Supporting AANHPI-owned businesses in your community, including restaurants, bookstores, local artists, and service providers.
- Exploring educational resources like podcasts, documentaries, and museum exhibits that highlights AANHPI history and experiences.
- Volunteering with organizations that support AANHPI communities through youth programs, cultural preservation, or community health efforts.
Moving Progress Forward
As we honor AANHPI Heritage Month, we affirm our commitment to creating a workplace where every voice is valued and every story matters. Celebrating the cultures and contributions of our AANHPI colleagues strengthens our understanding of one another and supports our shared Purpose at Transdev.
To all our Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander colleagues, we wish you a meaningful and joyful Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!
