As we kick off a new year, Transdev is proud to support our people and help them live out their Purpose. When you ask Letty Ochoa, the General Manager of the Transdev Pasadena Transit team, what moves her, she answers right away: “We literally move the city around.”
For Letty, this is not just a saying. It is a real responsibility that she takes on with pride and a strong desire to serve others. She has worked more than 12 years at Transdev and over 18 years in transportation, building a career focused on people, performance, and community service.
Every day, Letty’s team helps keep Pasadena moving.
“It’s a big responsibility. We move about 5,500 passengers a day, or around 165,000 a month,” she explained.
Behind those numbers are students, workers, families, and neighbors who depend on safe and reliable transit. Letty sees each one of them, and she makes sure her team does too.
Letty’s leadership style is simple and humble.
She says, “I’m not big on titles. It’s always been us, never I.”
Her team says she is hands‑on, easy to talk to, and always ready to help. She believes leadership is something you show through actions, not words.
“Stop talking and show me,” she says.
This approach has created a team where everyone shares responsibility, works together, and understands what is expected of them.
Even though Letty takes safety and service seriously, she also brings warmth to the workplace. Her laughter helps set a positive tone and reminds her team that human connection matters, even when the work is demanding. She also encourages learning and growth.
“The point is to learn and to teach and to live that,” she says. “I lead by example. It’s how we do things around here.”
Letty lives the Transdev values of Care, Share, Dare, and Deliver. She shows care for both her team and the passengers. For her, leadership is more than doing a job. It means showing up, supporting her people, and living the values she expects from her team.
