Cobb County, Georgia, has a great team that empowers its community with the freedom to move. Transdev leader Antrionette Grant has worked in transportation for over 30 years. She started as an operator and now serves as a customer service manager. She helps passengers and teaches employees how to be kind and helpful to their passengers and the community.
Grant is known for going above and beyond by helping passengers understand how to use the bus and making sure they do not lose their service. She also helps train workers by acting out real-life customer service situations, so they know what to do. General Manager, Ayana Pope, shares that Grant is very important to the operation and helps make sure both passengers and employees feel safe and cared for.
Grant also visits senior centers and helps them learn how to ride the bus. She says, “Helping the community is like giving a lifeline, and it’s vital to show them our team cares about our passengers.”
The Cobb County team also makes safety fun. They have a group of managers known as the Safety Mob. This group made a rap song about safety and created a system where employees can earn “Safety Mob Dollars” when they follow the rules of safety. Later on this year, employees can use the dollars they earned to buy fun things at a special auction.
The Cobb County team has many plans to help the community this year. They want to make sure people feel safe, happy, and cared for. With people like Antrionette Grant and Ayana Pope leading the way, Cobb County is showing what it means to be people serving people.
