In honor of telling the stories of our people, we shine a spotlight on Ramona Williams, a great employee who is celebrating 45 years of service at our Jefferson Transit location in Metairie, Louisiana.
Ramona began her career as an operator in May 1976 and was promoted to Supervisor in 2003. Known for her bubbly personality, Ramona is well respected by her coworkers. In 2011, she retired and decided to return to work as a part-time employee, where she is a customer service clerk.
Aside from adding value to her workplace, Ramona has a heart for helping people. On her days off, you can find her serving others in her community by helping them with day-to-day tasks, taking them places, and giving a listening ear when needed.
Ramona is also a pastor and is an active member of her church. There, she is known for her kindness and was a weekly announcer on WVOG for the popular radio show Jesus is the Answer in 2001.
When Ramona is not working or serving in her ministry as a leader, she enjoys spending time with her family. A faithful grandmother, Ramona enjoys making memories with her four children, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
