In honor of Maintenance and Technicians Appreciation Day, Transdev is proud to spotlight an outstanding member of our Las Vegas RAC location maintenance team, Raycine Mortensen, Maintenance Technician, a rising star and the location’s only female maintenance technician.
Mortensen joined Transdev nine months ago after completing a trade school program in heavy diesel. One of her biggest accomplishments since joining Transdev includes restoring a bus that had been out of service for over a year. Raycine repaired the engine harness and rebuilt the alternator, transforming the bus from scrap-bound to road-ready in only two weeks.
In addition to her professional skills, Raycine’s positive attitude makes her an unstoppable force on the shop floor, completing her projects with care, cheerfulness, and skill.
“She is always smiling, and she is always happy. I’ve never seen her upset since she started here, not one day. She wants the job, she wants to excel, she wants to be great and has the chance to be super amazing,” said Chondra Smallwood, Safety and Training Manager.
Raycine’s dedication to fulfilling her purpose at Transdev is an example of hard work and commitment to excellence.
