Safety Tip: Stay Centered (In Your Lane)

Safety Corner

At Transdev, safety is our number one priority, and proper vehicle positioning plays a crucial role in ensuring safe travel, especially as weather conditions change.  While driving, always aim to maintain the center of your lane. This not only keeps you safely within your land boundaries, but it also provides a buffer for hazards like debris or other vehicles drifting into your pathway.

When setting up to turn, avoid turning your wheels into traffic before you begin your turn. Make sure your wheels are straight while waiting to turn and only turn them once you are moving and safely navigating the turn. No matter the weather conditions, always maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle in front of yours. This provides ample space and distance to react in case of sudden stops, especially when roads are icy.

By keeping these practices in mind, you help ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.

Stay alert, stay prepared, and drive safely.
