Transdev checks off bucket list item for one lucky team member in a SUPER way!

Safety Corner

As the proud operator of the fixed route bus system for the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), Transdev recently came up with a unique way to thank our nearly 1500 employees for providing 40 million passenger trips a year to keep Las Vegas moving. In addition to providing vital transportation for the people of Las Vegas, our teams know how to prepare for and deliver on large-scale special event transportation with confidence. Since Las Vegas was center stage for football’s biggest show, the team decided to take the opportunity to raffle a very special prize to one lucky employee as a thank you to our teams for their hard work and commitment throughout the year.

“We wanted to find a unique way to thank our employees for keeping Vegas moving and show our appreciation for all they do for Transdev and their community every day,” said Kevin Schubert, VP of Special Projects.

Transdev organized a raffle for two tickets to Super Bowl LVIII and offer one lucky employee with a bucket list opportunity. Bus Operator Martin Perez won 2 tickets to the Super Bowl with a full food and drink package and access to several exclusive live entertainment opportunities and several other “OMG” moments at the show.

 Our big winner:

When Martin Perez listened to his voicemail on February 10th, he wasn’t sure to believed what he was hearing – he had just won Transdev’s Las Vegas Super Bowl raffle! His first call was to his wife and once he convinced her it was legit – they started planning for the next day’s activities.

Martin is an operator who prides himself on getting people to where they need to be – school, work, medical appointments etc. But, on Super Bowl Sunday, it was him taking Las Vegas’ public transportation to the big game – an opportunity of a lifetime.

“This was so nice of Transdev to offer this chance to the employees. It goes a long way to promote the positive relationship between employees and management,” said Martin. “This was truly one of my best life experiences to date – between the pre-game festivities, the game itself, the half-time show, the celebrity sightings (like Justin Bieber & Leonardo DiCaprio) and then the overtime – it was magnificent. Definitely, a once in a lifetime experience – thank you!”

Even though Martin’s chosen team of the day, the 49ers, weren’t victorious – it didn’t dampen his spirits at all. He enjoyed a day he won’t soon forget, was thankful to Transdev and made some friends and colleagues a little jealous along the way.
