Did You Know?
Pride Month is celebrated annually in June in tribute to those involved in the Stonewall Riots of June 1969 and works to achieve equal justice and equal opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) Americans. The first Pride parade was held in New York City on June 28,1970.
During the month, at Transdev we will be highlighting LGBTQ+ trailblazers who have forged their own path forward. In some cases, they have or are making an impact on transportation, but regardless they all stand for equity and equality.
We also are launching a “Find Your Rainbow: Share Your Pride” photo contest and soliciting your thoughts on “What it means to you to be a Pride Ally”. Stay tuned for more information.
