Pedestrian Safety #4: Watch Your Speed

Safety Corner

Our next sub-topic to support our Pedestrian Safety May/June Health & Safety theme focuses on the importance of watching your speed – specifically in high pedestrian areas.

Speeding has consequences that can range from getting a ticket to injuring yourself or others in a resulting accident. Posted limits are designed to prevent specific risks that are more likely when you drive too fast.

By watching the speed limit signs, looking at the speedometer regularly and making appropriate adjustments for pedestrians, weather or traffic, will help you, and everyone around you, arrive safely to their destination.
