Our next “Adapting to Change” subtopic focuses on the importance of using a spotter, especially with backing up.
Some of the most skilled drivers still need some assistance from a spotter as they move their vehicle. Large vehicles, like our buses and shuttles, often have blind spots and it is helpful to have someone outside who can safely scan the area and alert the driver of any changing conditions, objects or dangers. Spotters offer that extra set of eyes and ears.
Next week’s “Adapting to Change” sub-theme will remind us to always be aware of the quickly changing weather patterns in the springtime and the effects on road conditions.
